Director of Clinical Education

Piedmont Technical College’s Respiratory Care Program has that opportunity for you. We are hiring for the position of Director of Clinical Education. The Director of Clinical Education (DCE) will be responsible for all aspects of the clinical experiences of students enrolled in the program. The DCE will have regular and consistent contact with students, clinical faculty, and clinical affiliates in all program locations. The DCE is expected to exercise judgment and problem-solving abilities needed to assist faculty, staff, and clinical instructors. The candidate must be a Registered Respiratory Therapists, hold a current SC Respiratory Care Practitioner license, possess at least a baccalaureate degree, have 4 years’ experience as a RRT and at least 2 years’ experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member OR as a clinical preceptor. If you have worked with students in the clinical setting as part of your hospital job, this is considered work as a clinical preceptor. Most important is this person needs a passion for education. They will be able to help students achieve their goal of becoming a respiratory therapist, making a difference in their lives and every life they touch in the future.
